Minnesota Learning Commons

The Minnesota Learning Commons (MnLC) is a joint powers agreement between the University of Minnesota (UMN), Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State), and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), with a mission to “support educators teaching in online, blended, and digital learning environments.”

The Learning Commons executes its mission through three primary efforts:

Minnesota eLearning Summit

The MN eLearning Summit is the premiere event of the Minnesota Learning Commons and a gathering place for K-12, college, and university educators and innovators in the Midwest who are committed to effective online and blended learning. The 2017 Summit will be held August 2-3, 2017 at Normandale Community College. Learn more about presenting at, or attending the Summit.

"Best of the Summit" Webinar Series

The Minnesota Learning Commons offers free monthly webinars. The webinars are hand selected, highly rated presentations from the past year's Minnsota eLearning Summit. Learn more about past webinar topics and view the upcoming schedule.

Special Interest Groups

MnLC Special Interest Groups are designed to promote intentional sharing/networking of information with our audiences in priority areas and inform the MnLC Advisory Committee of broader programming, project and joint licensing opportunities. The groups focus on Accessibility, Digital Literacy, Innovation, Open Educational Resources, and Quality and Best Practices. Learn more about the groups.
